The Continental Park Café
Continental Park Café was opened in the historic Stone Mountain Village by Sizar Zahar, a native from Greece, and his wife as a tribute to his home country. Located above the Continental Coffee and Sweets store on Main Street, you feel like you have been transported to a hidden garden after walking up the stairs. For nearly 20 years, the Café has charmed patrons with its unique atmosphere and remarkable food. The European inspired menu focuses on Mediterranean dishes as well as an assortment of grilled sandwiches and salads that offer health conscious and wonderfully flavorful meals. Every entrée comes with either a sizeable salad or a hearty portion of artistically arranged fruit, no fries here. The endless lists of specialty coffee drinks and milk shakes are always favorite additions to the mouth watering desserts that are conveniently on display in a traditional European pastry case.
Meet Shawn & Heather - Your New Continental Culinary Guides
When Sizar decided that it was time to pass on his legacy, he was very selective in his choice of the new owners, to make sure they would love and respect the café as much as he did. The first time Shawn Hall and Heather Bailey walked into the café they knew that it was exactly what they were looking for. The relaxing and soothing atmosphere of the café entranced them immediately, even before they tasted the food, and once that happened they were head over heels in love with the place. Shawn and Heather’s desire is to make the café more accessible to its loyal customers by extending the hours they are opened to include dinner and weekend brunch in the near future, as well as offering catering for events and businesses in the area. The Café is already a favorite for special occasions, but they also want to expand on the birthday parties, holiday parties, and wedding rehearsals and receptions to greater satisfy the desires of their customers. Both Shawn and Heather have backgrounds in the restaurant business and intend to put them to full use in making the Café even more special than it already is.
